INTERNSHIP - Promotions
Trumper Communications: KMVA - HOT 97.5 FM is seeking enthusiastic, outgoing, hardworking, music-loving, creative, reliable individuals to work part-time in the Promotions Department.  This is a non-paid internship and is available to students who are currently enrolled at an accredited community college, junior college, college or university.  Please make sure you consult with your academic advisor about your eligibility for school credit from this internship program with HOT 97.5 before applying.

Learn the ins and outs of the radio industry, marketing and promotions, public relations, and more while working in a fun-filled environment.

Ideal candidate has knowledge of HOT 97.5 music, the Phoenix Metro Area, and the HOT 97.5 lifestyle.  Working some days, nights, weekends and holidays are a MUST!!  Strong communication skills a plus.

Description of Duties:
 - Assist with station event coordination and execution, as directed.  Includes regular set-up, staffing and breakdown at station promotional events of all types, as well as, interaction with station listeners, clients and venue personnel (often requires working weekend and evening hours).
 - Assist with internal needs including, but not limited to, calls to listeners, station mail outs, database entry, filing, admin assistance.
 - Operate promotion-related station property and equipment (i.e. sound system, booth equipment, banners, etc.).
 - Work in compliance with Company policies and procedures.
 - Ability to communicate effectively.
 - Maintain a positive and cooperative rapport with staff, management and clients.
 - Project an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor.
 - Physical Demands:  Carrying, grasping, reaching, loading, bending, kneeling and setting up of promotional materials and equipment.  Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.

PROMO SQUAD/STREET TEAM: Part-Time
Trumper Communications – KMVA: HOT 97.5 FM is looking for enthusiastic, responsible and outgoing individuals for Part-Time PROMO SQUAD/STREET TEAM positions. 

 

Job Description:
This person is responsible for but not limited to: the on-site execution of HOT 97.5’s public appearances including club/bar nights, concerts, client promotions, station appearances and more. Promo Team members will set up each HOT 97.5 appearance using the station's vehicles, banners, mobile sound systems, etc. Promo Team members will conduct contesting, award prizes and engage the public at each appearance. Promo Team members will represent HOT 97.5 to the public and its advertisers.

 

Promo Team members also help the Promotion Director and Coordinators with daily office duties including but not limited to: making flyers, organizing prize/promo closet, inventory, winner sheets, contacting winners, updating info/pictures on the web & vehicle maintenance.

 - Be an extrovert with great people skills, comfortable in a crowd settings
 - Be a self-starter and able to motivate others
 - Be mature and responsible with a professional attitude

 - Work well under pressure in a fast paced environment

 - Work will on a team and individually

 

Requirements:
 - Flexible schedule is a MUST: Your schedule will change from week to week; events can take place 7 days a week in the morning/midday/afternoon/night. Must be available a minimum of 15 hours per week. The ability to work some evenings and weekends are a must and there is no set schedule.
 - Valid Driver's License and Clean driving record are a MUST
 - Reliable Transportation (not for business use)
 - Must be able to lift 50 lbs
